New recommended lessons appear in search results

Now when you search for a specific standard, you'll see which lessons are recommended by our content developers to best teach that standard.

You'll notice that each recommended lesson has:

• Content objectives specific to the standards
• Differentiated reading passages
• Instructions for students to guide their reading
• Post-reading discussion questions
• As in all VNG lessons, structured visuals with discussion questions and QSSSA structure, plus extension activities

Additionally, each recommended lesson comes with teacher support:

• Teacher guide for the lesson
• Suggestions about what students might notice in the visual (this is very helpful for guiding the class to notice all of the details)
• Suggestions about what students might wonder when looking at the visual (this can be used to extend the class discussion)
• Example high-level and low-level responses to the observational question
