VNG Teacher Spotlight: Shelby Elliott

Shelby Elliott is receiving the award for Math Teacher of the Month for April. Shelby is a 5th-Grade Math and Science teacher at O. Henry Elementary School in Richardson ISD. She was nominated Teacher of the Month because of her hard work incorporating the VNG into her Math lessons to linguistically and academically support her students. Shelby uses a dual approach of word wall visuals with the VNG combined with structured visuals in the VNG lessons. Together, her students are interacting with visuals and with each other: growing Math and Science language and content comprehension at the same time!
