VNG Teacher Spotlight: Ruben Martinez

Ruben Martinez is a US History teacher at Los Fresnos High School in Los Fresnos CISD, and is the VNG Social Studies Teacher of the Month for January 2026. This means he engaged with the VNG more than any other Social Studies teacher, nationwide!

Ruben uses the VNG to help his students understand the rigorous content of United States History Since 1877 and relate to the characters and events in history. Ruben says:

The visual non-glossary has been a great instructional tool in our classroom. It has proven to be very helpful for many of our students by supporting comprehension and reinforcing key concepts.

This resource has truly opened a new road for learning, allowing students to better engage with the content and make meaningful connections. We appreciate the thought and effort put into developing a tool that supports diverse learners.
