October 2026's Teachers of the Month

We have some amazing Teachers of the Month from October to honor. We'll keep honoring teachers every month all school year, so please keep the nominations coming!

These three teachers were selected from a very competitive group of nominees:

...has a growth mindset and has collaborated with her team during PLC to implement the right scaffolds including the VNG. She has a passion for teaching our students.

Melissa Stevens is the Social Studies Teacher of the Month from Conrady Junior High School in North Palos SD 117.Melissa finds unique ways to embed structured conversations around VNG visuals into her 7th-Grade Social Studies and Science lessons. Melissa's nominator says:

Ms. Melissa Stevens is always looking for additional ways to support the students learning and understanding and frequently finds way to use the VNG within those supports.

Christina Wright is the Math Teacher of the Month from Richardson ISD. Christina travels between three elementary schools in Richardson, supporting PK-6 teachers in their planning for all content areas. Christina models structured conversations with the VNG and guides teachers on how to use it in their lessons. She also has presented to teachers during staff development to show innovative uses of the VNG. Her nominator says:
